Sonnet : From The Italian Of Dante Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEGDD

Guido I would that Lapo thou and IA
Led by some strong enchantment might ascendB
A magic ship whose charmed sails should flyA
With winds at will where er our thoughts might wendB
So that no change nor any evil chanceC
Should mar our joyous voyage but it might beD
That even satiety should still enhanceC
Between our hearts their strict communityD
And that the bounteous wizard then would placeE
Vanna and Bice and my gentle loveF
Companions of our wandering and would graceE
With passionate talk wherever we might roveG
Our time and each were as content and freeD
As I believe that thou and I should beD
