Forgotten Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE EGHG EIJI

I am his forgotten loveA
But he the smile upon my faceB
His path it lies in northern spheresC
Whilst mine lies in that forgotten placeB
-
Today his music lies in Verdi s handsD
Forgotten Debussy s variationsE
Still dull are the embers of his heartF
Not knowing the fire of mine still blazonsE
-
Forgotten that youthful time of wild romanceE
Gone that open door where passion stompedG
And heaving breath flamed the fireH
Where passion freely rompedG
-
But my heart it holds no bitternessE
No roots of sorrow spread from meI
For I was loved with burning passionJ
Which still ignites my memoryI
