The Absence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB C DE F AGFHGI JDKLMN OP

I speak to you across citiesA
I speak to you across plainsB
-
My mouth is upon your pillowC
-
Both faces of the walls come meetingD
My voice discovering youE
-
I speak to you of eternityF
-
O cities memories of citiesA
Cities wrapped in our desiresG
Cities come early cities come latelyF
Cities strong and cities secretH
Plundered of their master's buildersG
All their thinkers all their ghostsI
-
Fields pattern of emeraldJ
Bright living survivingD
The harvest of the sky over our earthK
Feeds my voice I dream and weepL
I laugh and dream among the flamesM
Among the clusters of the sunN
-
And over my body your body spreadsO
The sheet of it's bright mirrorP
