Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBDE FGHIJKLFA MFJFGJA NFJOFP NFQRJFSFDF

Photos along a soft centred wallA
like assorted chocolatesB
with prized centresC
tiny miniaturesC
full portraitsB
the young army major for oneD
in battle fatigues come full family regaliaE
-
Mounting the staircaseF
tearing back the chocolate paperG
shroud hand on the railingH
pressuring the cherry liquidI
into oozing burst of memoryJ
the nectarine orange of a summer's dayK
Swing garden loom into viewL
the mind plays thoughtscapesF
a tag ensemble along the wallA
-
Old colours or lack of them aboundM
the antiquated dress hairdosF
of grandparents that speak lavishlyJ
into taste buds across the fallen yearsF
Ivy ivory fan kitten on a rockerG
cradled baby that amounts to meJ
the sun coming home to roost on this plaintiff pleading wallA
-
Passage of thoughtN
into this chocolate boxF
the lid off stern memoryJ
prying forth a directory ofO
mouth watering choiceF
or so the advertisers' claimP
-
Yet do we ever thoughtN
over what we taut in our headsF
we are My dad in Kenya a time and ageQ
from this perspective like the peanut brittleR
or grandfather about eight from the dreamyJ
dark cream nougat reaches of layered black spaceF
that speaks the aeons agoS
his manner and distance a smoky hazeF
from the twilight special occasionD
Black Magic chocolate boxF
