Red Illusions Under Glass Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHIJ KLMNO

Life as green illusionA
the cool fronds of the fernB
are deep set in firmest soilC
and the grassy narrowsD
brook a silent liquid playE
-
Red illusions under glassF
quietly picking strawberriesG
where a woman hums toH
the buzz of fliesI
with the afternoon sun disappearing overheadJ
-
Each grasp of the berryK
a red stain the darting of seedsL
crimson tendrils do confuse the eyeM
with a polka dot starling raucousN
in glee aboveO
