Poets Are Magic Beings Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGDH IJKLMD NOPQD MMMMM

She sits within the Magic LanternA
that facsimile for pleasureB
decor of wineskins whereC
at a garmentD
extravagance comes extraE
skin like rosy flamesF
the whisk of smokeG
at hearthsideD
sunlight about her faceH
-
Cherubs arise from those lipsI
and battle lines are drawnJ
about the sweet curvature of her breastsK
A tight cashmere sweater ridesL
comfortably two of the finest King'sM
deer headstrong thru Sherwood ForestD
-
And Merry ManN
firmly planted in Lincoln GreenO
the plodding turf growing at odds within my soulP
give this brief to the Sheriff at BuckinghamQ
I cool my heels the soft doe lies prostrate at my feetD
-
She's lovelinessM
hair drawn as curtainsM
signalling the cloudsM
eyes that beckon twin dovesM
to flight in swift passage like the arrowsM
