Magpie Tongues Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHIJKLM CNOPQLRS

Trillium breath an ounceA
of feathered growth unravelsB
in the cloves of the silent forestC
The rain is heavy with the stampD
of perfumed trees realizingE
slight restraint on bursting seedF
-
Cloaked in fragrance tuftsG
of mossy step kiss the opening earthH
a basement horizon presumesI
the darling test of flowerJ
across dale rustling nookK
then undresses moist greeneryL
with sumptuous eyeM
-
The last is hardestC
cat crimson a fire weed sunset lotionN
the rain erased awayO
nobody special harangues the leavesP
but birds steal in quietly withQ
tenderness clothed of verdureL
to pinch a leafy oasis aboutR
their forest hauntS
