Guadalquivir Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAAA CDAA AEAAA AFGA

In a pleasureless world pure pleasure existsA
Particles of sunlight exquisite with nightdropsA
leaves stringent with dewB
persuade tributaries with inset eyesA
to depart down foible breast sticky fingersA
up delightful stepsA
-
And taking pleasure with an earthen spoonC
sipped long and hard down tubes and windingD
entrailsA
soft relief canyons swollen blood vesselsA
-
For your brow shines like olive branchesA
Guadalquivir's river or nectar drawn from goldenE
wellsA
and as such unfolds loveliest eyesA
out from fond embrace not hedging liesA
-
My darling amongst flowering cherub treesA
a moment shared with you is pretty mirthF
accounts all Arcadia's treasures theG
angelic breath off passing wingsA
