Bloodcount Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BC DEFGHI JKAJLMN JOA JP

My mind had almost diedA
-
It had refused a game of tag on a commonB
with surly children and they steadfastly took revengeC
-
My fate like Blondin's walk across NiagaraD
saw cataracts looming largeE
hiss foamF
then visions of serpentsG
farawy monstersH
inner tension of rocks openingI
-
The churned brown water opened like a basket before meJ
Maurading bubbles took on elephantine shapesK
my barrel creekedA
Faraway the edge drop yawned in indifferent harmonyJ
The brown walls of my fortress barrel became like palatesL
sutures of my skull imprisoning the brainM
the trickle of invading water ever a reminderN
-
The close of the storyJ
Nothing What is there to record after a river passesO
What remains of things unseen of antelopes in flightA
-
The shroud of Monte Cristo tossed carelessly into seaJ
did not fall open to the touch but was knifed with rifle forceP
