Chelsea Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD BEBEFF G

How many of those youths who consecrateA
Their lives to art and worship at her shrineB
And sacrifice their early hours and lateA
In serving her exacting whims divineB
Have gathered in old Chelsea's shaded peaceC
Whose faint elusive charm and gentle airsD
Bring inspiration fresh and sweet releaseC
From Trouble's haunting shapes and goblin caresD
-
O tree embowered hamlet whose demesneB
Sleeps in the arms of London quietlyE
Whose sparrow haunted roads and squares sereneB
From all the stress of life seem ever freeE
O are you more than just a passing dreamF
Beside the city's slim and lovely streamF
-
Luxeuil les BainsG
