Snake Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD BE FG HI J KE

BUT Snake you must not come where we abideA
For you would tempt us we should hear you sayB
-
'Oh somewhere was a world was cold and spareC
And voiceless somewhere was a Being was notD
-
Engrossed with substance with no fervenciesB
Of love and hatred and he made me SnakeE
-
The wise Elohim they who made the restF
Of Creatures made them ail too manifoldG
-
Mortised and rampired jointed vascularH
And I was put an alien in their worldI
-
All head all spine all limb all loinJ
Swift as a bird and single as a fish '-
-
Above you fruits unglanced at bend and glowK
And bare and voiceless you do tempt us SnakeE
