Night-fliers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDECF GEECEEEBE

THE birds that soar break spaceA
Like heavy bodies hurledB
Not so the birds of nightC
They move as in a sphereD
On which they touch alwaysE
How patterned their flightC
The owl the whippoorwillF
-
And like volcano's ashG
His plumes all cinderousE
Black mirrors are his eyesE
The owl's They'll fill with lightC
What time will come the criesE
As from tongues taut with dewsE
The whippoorwills What soundsE
Are in their day lost worldB
What motions and what huesE
