Two little creaturesA
with faces the size ofB
a pair of penniesC
are clasping each otherD
Ah do not leave meE
One says to the otherD
in the high monkeyE
cage in the beast shopF
there are no peopleG
to gape at them nowH
for people are lothI
peer in the dimnessC
have they not buildedJ
streets and playhousesC
sky sign and barsC
to lose the lonlienessC
shaking the heartsC
of the two little monkeysC
Yes but who watchesC
the penny small facesC
can hear the voicesC
Ah do not leave meE
suck i wil give youK
warmth and claspingE
and if you slip fromL
this beam can neverD
find you againM
Dim is the eveningE
and chill is the weatherD
there drawn from their colouredJ
hemisphereN
the apes lilliputianO
with faces the size ofB
a pair of penniesC
and voices as low asC
the flow of my bloodJ
