Interior Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CDED FGHG IJKJ LCJ CBAB

THE little moths are creepingA
Across the cottage paneB
On the floor the chickens gatherC
And they make talk and complainB
-
And she sits by the fireC
Who has reared so many menD
Her voice is low like the chickens'E
With the things she says againD
-
'The sons that come back do be restlessF
They search for the thing to sayG
Then they take thought like the swallowsH
And the morrow brings them awayG
-
In the old old days upon InnishI
The fields were lucky and brightJ
And if you lay down you'd be coveredK
By the grass of one soft nightJ
-
And doves flew with every burialL
That went to InnishoreC
Two white doves with the coffenedJ
But the doves fly no more '-
-
She speaks and the chickens gatherC
And they make talk and complainB
While the little moths are creepingA
Across the cottage paneB
