The first live things that we see in the mornings | F |
The crows that march across the fields that sit | B |
Upon the ash trees' branches that fly home | H |
And crowd the elm tops over in Drumbarr | D |
The crows we look on at all hours of light | I |
Growing and full and going these black beings have | J |
Another lifetime | K |

Blackness in darkness flying beings unseen | M |
Except by eyes that are like to their own | N |
Trespassers' eyes | O |

And you old man with eyes so quick and sharp | P |
Who've told me of the crows my fosterer | D |
And you old woman upon whose lap I've lain | Q |
When I was taken from my mother's lap | R |
And you young girl with looks that have come down | S |
From forefathers my kin ye have another life | T |
I've glimpsed it I becoming trespasser | D |
