I KNOW you CraneA
I too have waitedB
Waited until my heartC
Melted to little pools around my feetD
-
Comer in the morning ere the crowsE
ShunnerF
SearcherF
Something find for meG
The pennies that were laid upon the eyesH
Of old wise men I knewI
-
The Little FoxJ
THAT sidling creature is a little FoxJ
Like other canine he is leashed and ledK
He goes upon the sidewalk houses towerF
Men trample horses rear he drags his leashL
-
Did not IM
Once know a lad from Irrus where they leaveN
Mittens for foxes where they inviteO
A fox to a child's christening where they haveP
Foxes as gossips to their boys and girlsQ
-
Would that a lad from Irrus now was hereF
To tell his gossip that a human creatureF
Has heart for him and fain would cover upR
His bowels of dread and find some way to bringS
His rainy hills around him the soft grassT
Darkness of ragged hedges and his earthU
The black damp earth under the roots of treesV
Would that a lad from Irrus now was hereF
Where houses tower and where horses rearF
