Before The Fair Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG HIJI KLML NOPQ

'Lost ' 'lost ' the beeves and the bullocksA
The cattle men sell and buyB
Crowded upon the fair greenC
Low to the lightless skyB
-
'Live ' 'live ' and 'Here ' 'here ' the blackbirdD
From the top of the bare ash treeE
Over the acres whistlesF
With beak of yellow bleeG
-
And climbing turning and climbingH
His little stair of soundI
'Content ' 'content ' from the low hedgeJ
The redbreast sings in a roundI
-
And I who hear that hedge songK
Will fare with all the restL
With thoughts of lust and labourM
And bargain in my breastL
-
The bare hedge bright with rain dropsN
That have not fallen downO
The golden crowded whin bushP
Nor know these things my ownQ
