- | |
Even in the mist of griefs and pains | B |
When the story shall be divulged | C |
No matter whose death it shall report | D |
The brave ones shall speak | E |
About the days and nights of dolor | F |
- | |
Our Dawn and Noon dish | G |
Became supper | F |
Sometimes were none | H |
We lived on codes | I |
- | |
- | |
Dry leaves became our beds | J |
Cassava flour our favorite | K |
Uncompleted buildings our abodes | J |
We died our children took the life | L |
They died there children took the path | M |
- | |
They came with promises travelling their lips | J |
They lifted the lamp of love | N |
Gave vents to our heads and hearts | J |
Was a good path to tread we thought | O |
But were foxes who undermined our constitution | H |
- | |
They fattened themselves on lies | J |
Measured their reigns with numbers of balls sacrificed | P |
Pools of colorful blood | Q |
Lined their coats with dark currency | J |
- | |
And this trip their tongues of | N |
Theirs of the people | R |
For the people | R |
By the people | R |
- | |
Again this rolled off | S |
- | |
Our cat may look at their king | T |
The dog may dine with the hare | F |
The cat may wine with the rat | U |
We shall know not apart | V |
The elephant tusks with the cow horns | J |
- | |
We sat through centuries of pain | W |
Days of agonies | J |
Gazing at their lies | J |
- | |
We prefer when the tiger roared | X |
And sent shivers down our spine | Y |
When the hawk swooped for the mouse | J |
When the dog ran after the hare | F |
And we for our life in awry | F |
- | |
DEMOCRACY IS OLD | Z |
- | |
If we had known him to be this | J |
We would have decollated his head | A2 |
And play them to his children | H |
- | |
If we had known him to be | J |
A lying impostor who had an axe to grind | B2 |
We would have crucified him | C2 |
And made history out of him | C2 |
- | |
If we had known him to be this | J |
A pompous prig we would have butchered him into pieces | J |
Which he is doing now | D2 |
- | |
If we had looked at him with our ancestors eyes | J |
We would have seen the hidden fox face behind his sheep veil | E2 |
- | |
We taught our hunger will be banished | F2 |
Our thirst will be assuaged | G2 |
From his flowing milk of words | J |
But nay he mocked us at our face | J |
- | |
We taught of him to be our Messiah | J |
To proffer solution to the longed impediments | J |
- | |
We taught of him to be a parka | J |
Against the tempest storm of sweetness | J |
- | |
Nay he made horror of human sacrifice | J |
- | |
We taught he was of Solomon | H |
But not all grey hair are old | Z |
- | |
If we had known | H2 |
Our thoughts to be useless | J |
A bird of ours is worth two in their bush | I2 |
- | |
His wills are willed to his folks | J |
Into their dead father's shoe | J2 |
Chip of an old block | K2 |
Do better than I did | L2 |
