The Men Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEF GHIJBKLM NOPA QRBSTUAA

I'm Ram n Gonz lez Barbagelata from anywhereA
from Cucuy from Paran from Rio Turbio from OruroA
from Maracaibo from Parral from Ovalle from LoconmillaB
I'm the poor devil from the poor Third WorldC
I'm the third class passenger installed good GodD
in the lavish whiteness of snow covered mountainsE
concealed among orchids of subtle idiosyncrasyF
-
I've arrived at this famous year and what do I getG
With what do I scratch myself What do I have to do withH
the three glorious zeros that flaunt themselvesI
over my very own zero my own non existenceJ
Pity that brave heart awaiting its callB
or the man enfolded by warmer loveK
nothing's left today except my flimsy skeletonL
my eyes unhinged confronting the era's beginningM
-
The era's beginning are these ruined shacksN
these poor schools these people still in rags and tattersO
this cloddish insecurity of my poor familiesP
is all this the day the century's beginning the golden doorA
-
Well enough said I at least discreetQ
as in office patched and pensiveR
I proclaim the redundancy of the inauguralB
I've arrived here with all my baggageS
bad luck and worse jobsT
misery always waiting with open armsU
the mobilization of people piled up on top of each otherA
and the manifold geography of hungerA
