The Light Wraps You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD CCEC CCFGHC ICJKL

The light wraps you in its mortal flameA
Abstracted pale mourner standing that wayB
against the old propellers of the twighlightC
that revolves around youD
-
Speechless my friendC
alone in the loneliness of this hour of the deadC
and filled with the lives of fireE
pure heir of the ruined dayC
-
A bough of fruit falls from the sun on your dark garmentC
The great roots of nightC
grow suddenly from your soulF
and the things that hide in you come out againG
so that a blue and palled peopleH
your newly born takes nourishmentC
-
Oh magnificent and fecund and magnetic slaveI
of the circle that moves in turn through black and goldC
rise lead and possess a creationJ
so rich in life that its flowers perishK
and it is full of sadnessL
