Sonnet Xvii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJK LMN

I do not love you as if you were salt rose or topazA
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots offB
I love you as certain dark things are to be lovedC
in secret between the shadow and the soulD
-
I love you as the plant that never bloomsE
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowersF
thanks to your love a certain solid fragranceG
risen from the earth lives darkly in my bodyH
-
I love you without knowing how or when or from whereI
I love you straightforwardly without complexities or prideJ
so I love you because I know no other wayK
-
than this where I does not exist nor youL
so close that your hand on my chest is my handM
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleepN
