Sonnet Xi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJK LMM

I crave your mouth your voice your hairA
Silent and starving I prowl through the streetsB
Bread does not nourish me dawn disrupts me all dayC
I hunt for the liquid measure of your stepsD
-
I hunger for your sleek laughE
your hands the color of a savage harvestF
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernailsG
I want to eat your skin like a whole almondH
-
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely bodyI
the sovereign nose of your arrogant faceJ
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashesK
-
and I pace around hungry sniffing the twilightL
hunting for you for your hot heartM
like a puma in the barrens of QuitratueM
