IA
-
When you are trying to sleep SolominkaB
In your enormous bedroom and are waitingB
Sleepless for the high and weighty ceiling to come downC
With quiet heavy sorrow on your keen eyelidsD
-
Sonorous Solomka or seasoned SolominkaB
You've drunk down all death grown tender andE
Been broken my dear Solomka no more aliveF
Not Salome no it is SolominkaB
-
In hours of insomnia objects are heavierG
As if fewer of them such a stillnessH
The cushions glitter in the mirror whitening a bitI
And the bed is reflected in the round poolJ
-
No it is not Solomka in her solemn satinK
In a huge room above the black NevaL
For twelve months they sing of the final hourG
And the pale blue ice waves in the airM
-
Solemn December sends out its breathN
As if the great Neva were in the roomO
No not Solominka Ligeia dyingB
I have learned you glorious wordsP

IIA
-
I have learned you blessed wordsP
Lenore Solominka Ligeia SeraphitaI
In the enormous room the great NevaL
And from the granite the blue blood flowsQ
-
Solemn December shines above the NevaL
For twelve months they sing of the final hourG
No not Solominka in her satinK
Savoring a slow oppressive restI
-
In my blood lives December's LigeiaR
Whose blissful love sleeps in a sarcophagusH
And which solominka perhaps SalomeS
Was killed by pity and shall never returnT
