Insomnia. Homer. Taut Canvas. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA AAAC DEED

Insomnia Homer Taut canvasA
Half the catalogue of ships is mineB
that flight of cranes long stretched out lineB
that once rose out of HellasA
-
To an alien land like a phalanx of cranesA
Foam of the gods on the heads of kingsA
Where do you sail What would the thingsA
of Troy be to you Achaeans without HelenC
-
The sea or Homer all moves by love s glowD
Which should I hear Now Homer is silentE
and the Black Sea thundering its oratory turbulentE
and surging roars against my pillowD
