I Dream Of Hunchbacked Tiflis Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCA ADEAF GEAAH HHIEH

I dream of hunchbacked TiflisA
Where a Sazandar's groan resoundsA
The people cluster on the bridgeB
The crowd carpets the whole capitalC
While below the KuramurmursA
-
Above the Kura are dukhansA
Where there is wine and good pilafD
A ruddy dukhanshchikE
Gives glasses to the guestsA
He is ready to serve youF
-
The thick Cahetian wineG
In the cellar is ready to drinkE
There in the coolness in peaceA
You drink your fill drink in pairsA
Don't drink aloneH
-
In the smallest dukhanH
If you ask for TelianiH
You will find a friendI
Tiflis will be swimming in a fogE
Your head will be swimming at the innH
