Impressions Ii. La Fuite De La Lune Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CBBC DEED

TO outer senses there is peaceA
A dreamy peace on either handB
Deep silence in the shadowy landB
Deep silence where the shadows ceaseA
-
Save for a cry that echoes shrillC
From some lone bird disconsolateB
A corncrake calling to its mateB
The answer from the misty hillC
-
And suddenly the moon withdrawsD
Her sickle from the lightening skiesE
And to her sombre cavern fliesE
Wrapped in a veil of yellow gauzeD
