The Battle Within Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FDFD GDGDGD

Born from a furnace the demons aroseA
egotistic in nature and not giving a damnB
unrivalled yet still their power growsA
wolfing attitudes with enemies as lambB
-
daringly a David was bornC
with enough shield for a brain as protectionD
very soon we'll have a demon to mournC
but could I kill this Goliath he questionedE
-
the jig is up I'm afraid there is no winner in this battleF
the more we fight we come to the same conclusionD
together we are stronger if remade no more need for sacrifices of cattleF
could it be that we were once one before who the hell separated us who caused all this illusionD
-
still confused but what's the point of this from the beginningG
a pair playing a deadly game as oneD
this is a battle between the mind and the body so who am I kiddingG
I'll be surprised if someone said I wonD
so please I ask you am I winningG
or the battle has not yet begunD
