Loving But Untrusting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAD EFD DGHIJK LMA

Do we speak correctly when we say to ourselves that love is the greatestA
And in the same breathe exuding a confidence of spiritual confirmationB
Say no man is to be trusted save God not even ourselves for buttressed cynicismC
Can we then claim to love something we find unworthy of trustA
Because in reality we hold the latter far more valuable than we do the formerD
-
What would be your opinion of a mother who for a wanton wantE
Of sustaining childlike innocence in the child lock her possessions awayF
Somewhere beyond the reach and comprehension of the experiencing teenagerD
-
Didn t God risk trusting man the second time and have we fared any betterD
But won t we rather attribute that to the superiority of the God essenceG
The ability to shower love unconditionally that isH
Isn t man created in the persona of superiorityI
Something we claim in our dominion over lower animalsJ
Sometimes inconsiderate in resulting dealings but i digressK
-
Love is everything it comes with every complimentary personaL
Can we then trust without lovingM
We mistake being careful for trustA
