| But still she rocks a little it is true | B |
| And there are passengers whose faces white | C |
| Show they don't feel as happy as they might | C |
| Yet on the whole her crew are quite content | D |
| Since its wild fury the typhoon has spent | D |
| And willing if her pilot thinks it best | E |
| To head a little nearer south by west | E |
| And this they feel the ship came too near wreck | F |
| In the long quarrel for the quarter deck | F |
| Now when she glides serenely on her way | G |
