Ill bodes to us this monstrous birth | F |
That scowls on all the thrones of earth | F |
Too broad yon starry cluster shines | G |
Too proudly tower the New World pines | G |
Tear down the 'banner of the free ' | - |
And cleave their land from sea to sea ' | - |

Join the red murderers' battle yell | I |
What though the lifted sabres gleam | J |
The cannons frown by shore and stream | J |
The sabres clash the cannons thrill | K |
In wild accord One country still | K |
