Freedom, Our Queen Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH IIII IIII

Land where the banners wave last in the sunA
Blazoned with star clusters many in oneA
Floating o'er prairie and mountain and seaB
Hark 't is the voice of thy children to theeB
-
Here at thine altar our vows we renewC
Still in thy cause to be loyal and trueC
True to thy flag on the field and the waveD
Living to honor it dying to saveD
-
Mother of heroes if perfidy's blightE
Fall on a star in thy garland of lightE
Sound but one bugle blast Lo at the signF
Armies all panoplied wheel into lineF
-
Hope of the world thou'hast broken its chainsG
Wear thy bright arms while a tyrant remainsG
Stand for the right till the nations shall ownH
Freedom their sovereign with Law for her throneH
-
Freedom sweet Freedom our voices resoundI
Queen by God's blessing unsceptred uncrownedI
Freedom sweet Freedom our pulses repeatI
Warm with her life blood as long as they beatI
-
Fold the broad banner stripes over her breastI
Crown her with star jewels Queen of the WestI
Earth for her heritage God for her friendI
She shall reign over us world without endI
