Before The Curfew Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBBBD EFEEEF G

At My FiresideA
-
Alone beneath the darkened skyB
With saddened heart and unstrung lyreC
I heap the spoils of years gone byB
And leave them with a long drawn sighB
Like drift wood brands that glimmering lieB
Before the ashes hide the fireD
-
Let not these slow declining daysE
The rosy light of dawn outlastF
Still round my lonely hearth it playsE
And gilds the east with borrowed raysE
While memory's mirrored sunset blazeE
Flames on the windows of the pastF
-
MarchG
