Aestivation - An Unpublished Poem, By My Late Latin Tutor Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAB AACC DDEE AAFF

In candent ire the solar splendor flamesA
The foles langueseent pend from arid ramesA
His humid front the Give anheling wipesA
And dreams of erring on ventiferous riperB
-
How dulce to vive occult to mortal eyesA
Dorm on the herb with none to superviseA
Carp the suave berries from the crescent vineC
And bibe the flow from longicaudate kineC
-
To me alas no verdurous visions comeD
Save yon exiguous pool's conferva scumD
No concave vast repeats the tender hueE
That laves my milk jug with celestial blueE
-
Me wretched Let me curr to quercine shadesA
Effund your albid hausts lactiferous maidsA
Oh might I vole to some umbrageous clumpF
Depart be off excede evade erumpF
