| I can't touch it but I feel it's presence | C |
| I'm sure it truly exists | D |

| The mind is like a very fertile plain | E |
| Any seed good or bad will thrive well | F |
| It all depends on the energy it receives | G |
| A negative mind will never give you a positive life | H |

| The birthplace of all emotions and sentiments | J |
| A pace setter a goal getter self fulfillment is assured | K |
| Provided that I am steadfast in my decision | L |

| I want to stop I can't see any possible success | M |
| Even my friends say I will eventually get tired of trying | N |
| But the voice in my head tells me to go far in life | H |
| So far that I can't hear those friends anymore | O |

| I know the power of my mind and so I programmed it for success | M |
| And if my vision gets blurry I'll adjust my focus | P |
| I won't stop when I'm tired I'll stop when I'm done | L |

Poet's note: My first ever poem, as far back as I can remember. I composed it for my presentation at my school's word battle. I didn't think it was so much of a big deal until I ended the poem presentation and the crowd went wild. For the first time in a while, I felt a sense of great accomplishment.
