For once we had
Sight of them floating the seas
fearlessly soaring the skies
claiming the horizon beyond and the shores below
Time flied
present blurred the eyes
clouding the judgements long found
the truth known young
by the bone of our bones
For once we had
Young blood knowing, believing
all there was
blood boiling for the quest
of reaching the stars
Thirst for the lights
thirst for the heights
thirst to see beyond
and all
But now hands cup ashes
the dust of growing up
the death yet waited to be called upon
To rise up to this sky like a phoenix
Only if remembered.

Poet's note: This poem is for the dreamers out there. To know that dreams never dies, that they are always there, within.
