When I Love You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHI JKLMNOAPQRSS

When I love youA
A new language springs upB
New cities new countries discoveredC
The hours breathe like puppiesD
Wheat grows between the pages of booksE
Birds fly from your eyes with tiding of honeyF
Caravans ride from your breasts carrying Indian herbsG
The mangoes fall all around the forests catch fireH
And Nubian drums beatI
-
When I love you your breasts shake off their shameJ
Turn into lightning and thunder a sword a sandy stormK
When I love you the Arab cities leap up and demonstrateL
Against the ages of repressionM
And the agesN
Of revenge against the laws of the tribeO
And I when I love youA
March against uglinessP
Against the kings of saltQ
Against the institutionalization of the desertR
And I shall continue to love you until the world flood arrivesS
I shall continue to love you untill the world flood arrivesS
