The Child Scribbles Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLM FNGNJONP QRSE

My fault my greatest faultA
O sea eyed princessB
was to love youC
as a child lovesD
The greatest loversE
after all are childrenF
My first mistakeG
and not my lastH
was to liveI
in the taste of wonderJ
ready to be amazedK
by the simple spanL
of night and dayM
-
and ready for every womanF
I loved to break meN
into a thousand pieces to makeG
me an open cityN
and to leave me behind herJ
as dustO
My weakness was to seeN
the world with the logic of a childP
-
And my mistake was draggingQ
love out of its cave into the open airR
making my breastS
an open church for all loversE
