Sultan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDEFAGHIBJKBLBMNO

If I were promised safetyA
if I could meet the SultanB
I would say to him O my lord the SultanB
my cloak has been torn by your ravenous dogsC
your spies are following me all the timeD
Their eyesE
their nosesF
their feet are chasing meA
like destiny like fateG
They interrogate my wifeH
and write down all the names of my friendsI
O SultanB
Because I dare to approach your deaf wallsJ
because I tried to reveal my sadness andK
tribulationB
I was beaten with my shoesL
O my lord the SultanB
you have lost the war twiceM
because half our peopleN
has no tongueO
