Little children full of hope
Future so bright and so dope
Dreams and ambitions spilling out
Never were we in doubt.
Let’s spend our youthful age having fun
Our elders probably missed that one
Let’s party all night, we’ll pay
There is still time we always say.
Forgetting the adage which makes sense now and then
Time slips away like grains of sand never to return again
Time is a circus, always packing up and moving away
And ours is gone without a delay.
Now the night is gone and morning is come
Where we all sit and make a sum
Casting our minds back to the past
Realizing how our youthful age went fast.
Now the future is smiling at us
And we have to face the realities
Alas! Lost time can never be regained
And we are stuck with sweet pain.
