Your mama will reap the fruit | D |
Of her labour before she turns old | B |
Forget the stories of the ancestors past | E |

Poet's note: I'm writing this poem to every black child, giving us hope that the lives of our ancestors are bygones, and that ours will be different. This poem gives me courage and I hope it does others.
