Rhyme Scheme: ABCAADEAFGHIJAJDKLMN ON C

If half my heart is here doctorA
the other half is in ChinaB
with the army flowingC
toward the Yellow RiverA
And every morning doctorA
every morning at sunrise my heartD
is shot in GreeceE
And every night c doctorA
when the prisoners are asleep and the infirmary is desertedF
my heart stops at a run down old houseG
in IstanbulH
And then after ten yearsI
all i have to offer my poor peopleJ
is this apple in my hand doctorA
one read appleJ
my heartD
And that doctor that is the reasonK
for this angina pectorisL
not nicotine prison or arteriosclerosisM
I look at the night through the barsN
and despite the weight on my chestO
my heart still beats with the most distant starsN
