Our Normal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDCEFGHHII JKLKMNOPQQ RSTUVWXYZGA2

It's the forenoon of SundayA
I'm gazing steadily on the flowers of AfricaB
Wondering how they are still standingC
In this season of broughtD
Pondering how they are still blossomingC
With souls swilled by plightE
While soils ran out of nutrientsF
And rivers lost its watersG
Meanwhile it lit up our grazing landH
And we lost everything we had on handH
Whereas we lost our sources of nourishmentI
And made feel not at home in our environmentI
-
I I detect smoke of changeJ
Yet fellows are still smiling like the olden daysK
They refuse to be held in hostageL
Reality remains things ain't done the old waysK
The world turnedM
We can no longer hold hands and jam togetherN
The world transformedO
We can no longer hug and rejoice as oneP
What element did the Celetial use on usQ
To be this quick witted with the virusQ
-
Children are orphans yet they are at schoolR
Waves are widows but they go to churchS
I diagnose them with faithT
Through trails we still hope for a better tomorrowU
We repudiate living in dejection and sorrow look how far we have comeV
The tribulations we survivedW
I salute you Mzantsi for lifting the flag upX
You are the unyielding rocksY
The unshakable mountainsZ
You are vigorous pillarsG
Because of you South Africa standsA2
