There was a time where even breathing was a sinA
A period of sorrow where only apartheid was seenB
They lamented however no one was willing to listenC
Regarded with disgust for being alert and certainC
Annihilated for the pigment of the skinA
Caged up so they don't go to school and learnD
Locked up and used as slaves with no gainE
Go in the arms of Morpheus tomorrow be the same story againF
Given ineffectual tasks as pulverizing a mountainC
A voice is a force one can use as a weaponC
Hence they sealed their mouths so they can not verbalizeG
You sigh they cause a holocaust if they realizeG
Forced to call even a juniors a bassH
Descriminated by seniors treated with biasI
They had to bow and smile when they passH
Given a devoir of carrying a passiH
Areas segregated so they can not passH
It's my Forefathers I'm reciting aboutJ
In case you are wondering what I'm all aboutJ
The ones who were abominations for being themK
Revulsion and repulsion was felt towards to because of their kindL
Sent them to correctional facilities so they can take the landM
The cattle miniature treasures and everything at handM
Everything that glitters vigorously grasped from themK
Besithi abazinto they are undeservingN
Batsho bethi abazuva kwanto they are unmarinaquevingN
The Sons and daughters of the soilO
Who went through hardship and toilO
Rivers are now filled with their bloodP
Exhaling woefullyQ
I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to see your country freeQ
Ndiyaxolisa you didn't get to know the taste of freedomR
ke kopa t oarelo you didn't get to go to certain places you were force to remain in peripheralsH
Ngiyaxolisa you had to explain subserviently why the Celestial being made you in blackN
Nd khou humbela pfarelo you didn't get to dance to the song that make us come togetherS
Ke kopa tshwarelo you did not get to see us holding hands as a one nationC
Ndzi kombela ku khomeriwa you were brutally eradicated in cold bloodP
Your sweat sweat in the present is sweetT
Your tears today are our vigor and vitalityQ
Your fears this morning are our pride and confidenceH
I salute you Comrades for the sacrifices you madeU
Ndinothulela umnqwazi for putting us firstV
Namhlanje I'm on the other side of the worldW
I detecte no repugnance nor aversionC
Embracing my skin colour unapologeticallyQ
I'm walking tall I submit to no human beingN
I've got a handful of right ezinye zindixakile Plethora of prerogatives ezinye zindidikileQ
I hope you get the blagueN
So you can laugh and guffaw something you never got to doX
GEMIURGE bestow them thrones to flompY
Grant them Mbadadas to wander in gloryQ
I pray you can see your struggle was not in veinE
We are amalgamated We are the rainbow nationC
It's us who are making waves in the atmosphere under your nameZ
