| The graduate is now a street vendor | D |
| A dropout has received another tender | D |

| Down the street a dropout Mr Smith owns a shop | E |
| I'm still wondering how he made it to the top | E |
| Mike the graduate has to sell his vegetables all day | F |
| He has a family to feed so there's no other | D |

| The bus conductor actually owns a matric certificate | G |
| Somehow the dropout has a lot on his plate | H |
| Just for today he has three contracts to sign | I |
| A graduate just got fired from the mine | I |

| With or without education we can all succeed | J |
| No matter the setbacks let us proceed | J |
| Proceed until our lives improve | K |
| That should come from within we need no one to approve | K |
