On board the shipA
Finally I sailB
to the cities of my pastC
The waves takes me nautical miles awayD
and lands me on the shores of my memoryE
-
I stare at my own mindF
Looking at what I kept safe since I was nineG
With my own bitter reminisce I dineG
-
My activities from day one reflectsH
I sob as the movie plays because I couldn't detectI
-
I travel through and throughJ
Then I felt I was throughJ
Obviously it wasn't trueJ
-
So I haltK
Looking for who to put the faultK
Oh I was in search of myselfL
But i wasn't foundM
-
I'm lost in amending yesterdayD
I failedN
Instead I was breaking my todayD
-
In the end I can't mend yesterdayD
I can only create tomorrowO

Poet's note: I can not change yesterday’s mistakes, but I spend time trying to, only to discover I’m destroying my tomorrow.
