Nature Through A Window Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKI LMNO PQAR ASSJ

Nature through a windowA
Is like watching the green trees rush byB
Catching the allure of the white blue skiesC
And basking in the delight that the cosmos providesD
-
It's like watching the fish go aroundE
And seeing new water creatures emergeF
I'm fascinated by how the winds blow fireG
And how the soil grows grainsH
-
Love thence is no different from the lion's roarI
The concoction obstructing the passage to youJ
I can't feel smell or touch the climax of your careK
And though I watch as the birds fly I can't with them soarI
-
My heart is in distress and I'm numbed by my stateL
I see the moon very clearly but am consigned in a cageM
I see the blistering sun but in its warmth cannot batheN
The roots of my trees cannot spread to the roots of yoursO
-
I tried to do my bestP
Tried to catch the things I couldn't getQ
But these were the farthest I could goA
As all of the goodness passed me within secondsR
-
Nature through a windowA
Is like looking but not seeing breathing but not livingS
Struggling to get a glimpse longing for the feelingS
Condoling in the sad but true come what may I can't have youJ

Poet's note: Inspiration for this poem came as I sat traveling interstate in a vehicle. Grappling with another personal ordeal, I decided to put this into a poem. #distress #love #heartbreak #nature #sadness
