To The Clouds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE CEGE

Clouds ye eternal wanderers in hunting grounds of airA
High o'er the verdant Steppes wide through the blue of heavenB
Coursing fraternal say must ye exiled as IC
From the beloved North to the far South be drivenB
-
O tell me were ye outlawed thus by Fate's behestD
Drives ye forth open hate or secret grudge flee yeE
Follows ye unappeased an evil doer's curseF
Are ye pursued by poisonous words of calumnyE
-
Ah no Only from the unfruitful earth ye flyC
Free are your sufferings your blessedness is freeE
Ye know not wretchedness that holds us here in chainsG
Know not the joy of home or exile's miseryE
