Mama please forgive me if I ask you forA
food again but lately it seems that HungerB
has become my only friend He plays with myC
mind and evaporates my soul then He turnsD
our crops into dust and laughs at my tear dimmedE
eyes as I hold out an empty bowlF
-
You've seen my picture in magazines allG
throughout the land but neglected toH
lift a finger to save me better yet aI
helping handJ
-
Your love of money is killing me I've known this allG
along but forever I shall beg for your mercyK
till you hear my tragic songL
-
Your land is filled with milk and honeyK
while ours just crumbles to dust We'veM
thought about asking other countries forA
help but yours is the only one we couldN
truly ever trustO
-
So what do you say America Will youH
give this kid a chance You've got soP
much to offer us if you'd just give thisQ
situation a second glanceR
-
All I can do is pray that someday you'llS
hear my cry but that someday may be tooH
lateT
-
A mother holds her newborn babeU
watching with tear filled eyes as anotherB
starving child gives in to their final destinyK
and just DIESV
