If thus we needs must goeA
What shall our one Heart doeA
This One made of our TwoB
-
Madame two Hearts we brakeC
And from them both did takeC
The best one Heart to makeC
-
Halfe this is of your HeartD
Mine in the other partD
Ioyn'd by our equall ArtD
-
Were it cymented or sowneE
By Shreds or Pieces knowneE
We each might find our owneE
-
But 'tis dissolu'd and fix'dF
And with such cunning mix'dF
No diffrence that betwixtF
-
But how shall we agreeG
By whom it kept shall beG
Whether by you or meG
-
It cannot two Brests fillH
One must be heartlesse stillH
Vntill the other willH
-
It came to me one dayI
When I will'd it to sayI
With whether it would stayI
-
It told me in your BrestJ
Where it might hope to restJ
For if it were my GhestJ
-
For certainety it knewE
That I would still anewE
Be sending it to youE
-
Neuer I thinke had twoE
Such worke so much to dooE
A Vnitie to wooE
-
Yours was so cold and chasteJ
Whilst mine with zeale did wasteJ
Like Fire with Water plac'dJ
-
How did my Heart intreatJ
How pant how did it beatJ
Till it could giue yours heatJ
-
Till to that temper broughtJ
Through our perfection wroughtJ
That blessing eythers ThoughtJ
-
In such a Height it lyesI
From this base Worlds dull EyesI
That Heauen it not enuyesI
-
All that this Earth can showA
Our Heart shall not once knowA
For it too vile and lowA
