Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEBFBCC

Those priests which first the vestal fire begunA
Which might be borrowed from no earthly flameB
Devised a vessel to receive the sunA
Being stedfastly oppos d to the sameB
Where with sweet wood laid curiously by artC
On which the sun might by reflection beatD
Receiving strength for every secret partC
The fuel kindled with celestial heatD
Thy bless d eyes the sun which lights this fireE
My holy thoughts they be the vestal flameB
Thy precious odours be my chaste desiresF
My breast's the vessel which includes the sameB
Thou art my Vesta thou my goddess artC
Thy hallowed temple only is my heartC
